By day La Pedrera is a house museum. After closing it becomes a stage. The Night Experience takes small groups through the courtyards, the apartment and the attic with a guide, then up to the roof for a show projected on Gaudí's own forms.

This guide explains how the evening runs, what changes in winter, how it compares with the day and Sunset tickets, and who will enjoy it most.

The quick answer

Yes, for most people the Night Experience is worth it: you see the whole building, the rooftop show is the only one of its kind on a Gaudí roof, and the cava is a nice finish. It is semi-guided, so a guide introduces each level before the projections start. Official price €39.50 (juniors €19, under-12s free). La Pedrera's own listing on GetYourGuide starts at US$44 with 4.4 stars from 9,127 reviews and free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

What is the La Pedrera Night Experience?

A guided night visit of the courtyards, the 1911 apartment, the attic and the rooftop, ending with a video-mapping show on the roof and a glass of cava.

La Pedrera calls it a tour "between lights, shadows and architectural beauty" that ends on the rooftop, "converted into an immersive stage". Images, light and sound are projected onto the chimneys and stairwells. The GetYourGuide listing adds that the show explores "the origins of life and the essence of Gaudí's architectural style", with projections in the stairwells on the way up.

Guides speak Catalan, Spanish, English and Chinese. La Pedrera itself says the show "sells out every night".

How does the Night Experience run, and is it guided?

It is semi-guided: on each level a guide gives a short introduction, then a projection plays. The rooftop show is the finale.

  1. The Flower Courtyard: projections start in the owners' old entrance on Passeig de Gràcia.
  2. The apartment: the 1911 flat, with Gaudí's door handles, mouldings and floors.
  3. The attic: the 270 brick arches of the Espai Gaudí.
  4. The stairwells: light and sound in the badalots on the way up.
  5. The rooftop: the video-mapping show, then cava with the city lit up around you.

Guests praise the guides and the rooftop atmosphere. Some find the pace quick, because the group moves with the shows. If you want time to linger in the attic, book a day ticket for that and come back at night for the show.

How much does the Night Experience cost?

€39.50 for adults and €19 for juniors aged 12 to 17 on La Pedrera's site. Under-12s go free. On GetYourGuide it starts at US$44.

The price covers the guided route, the shows and a glass of cava. The official visit lasts about 1 hour 20 minutes, and the GetYourGuide listing gives 1 hour 30 minutes. Is the La Pedrera Night Experience worth it?

Yes, if you want an evening plan with a show and the rooftop lit up. If you want time to read every panel, the day ticket suits you better.

It has 4.4 stars from 9,127 reviews. Guests love the light show and the rooftop at night: "The palace is magnificent, and the sound and light show is very enjoyable!!" (Josee, Oct 2026). Another: "An experience with a difference. Interesting building. Great rooftop visual display. Finished with cava and nibbles" (Linda, Sep 2026).

One tip from a guest: after the show, take a few minutes to walk round the roof and "see the Sagrada and Torres Glòries lit up" (Christina, Oct 2026).

Night Experience, Sunset or day ticket: which is best?

The day ticket gives the most time, Sunset the best light for the lowest price, and the Night Experience the show. Premium and the early tour add a guide and fewer people.

What should you know before the Night Experience?

Arrive a little early for the security check, wear flat shoes for the rooftop steps, and know that rain can close the roof.

  • Security: bags are checked; backpacks go on your front or into the free lockers.
  • Photos: no flash and no tripods. Phones are fine.
  • Lift: one guest's tip: "It's better to take the elevator up" (Anna, Sep 2026).
  • Access: the rooftop is not wheelchair accessible; a platform at the lift exit gives a view of it.
  • Weather: When it rains, the rooftop closes for safety. La Pedrera lets you move an official ticket to another date as long as it has not been scanned yet. On GetYourGuide, free cancellation up to 24 hours before covers a bad forecast.
  • Language: pick your guide's language when you book: Catalan, Spanish, English or Chinese.

Is the Night Experience good for kids and couples?

Couples love it, and older children usually enjoy the show. Under-12s go free, but the late hour and the steps make it a long evening for small kids.

Children under 12 go free with an adult, and juniors pay €19. Prams cannot go inside, so bring a baby carrier. For a family with young children, an earlier slot works better: the Sunset entry or a morning visit with the early-morning guided tour.

For a special night, La Pedrera Premium is the small-group alternative: six people at most, an English-speaking guide, areas the public route skips, then cava and sweets. It is a new listing, so it has no reviews yet.
