Gaudí worked in Barcelona for more than 40 years, and you can follow his career in one city: from a tiled summer house in Gràcia in the 1880s to the basilica he worked on until his death in 1926. Seven of his works are on the UNESCO list as the "Works of Antoni Gaudí".

This guide covers the six you can visit inside, in the order he built them, with 2026 prices from each site and a plan for linking them. 2026 is Gaudí Year, the centenary of his death.

The quick answer

With one day, see La Pedrera and Casa Batlló on Passeig de Gràcia in the morning and the Sagrada Família in the afternoon. With two, add Park Güell and Casa Vicens in Gràcia, and Palau Güell off the Ramblas. Adult prices in 2026: Palau Güell €15, Park Güell €18, Casa Vicens €22, Sagrada Família €26, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera from €29. The 3 Gaudí Houses Tour links Vicens, Milà and Batlló in about 3 hours from US$133.

Which Gaudí buildings can you visit in Barcelona?

Six open inside to visitors: Casa Vicens, Palau Güell, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and the Sagrada Família. Others, such as Casa Calvet, you see from the street.

Which Gaudí house should you visit first?

La Pedrera if you want one house with a rooftop and the full story; Casa Batlló for interiors; the Sagrada Família if you see only one Gaudí site.

The Sagrada Família is Gaudí's life work, and most visitors put it first. Among the houses, La Pedrera gives the most for one ticket: courtyards, a period apartment, the Espai Gaudí (the only exhibition on his whole career) and the best rooftop in the city. The Milà or Batlló guide sets the two famous houses side by side.

If you have seen the big names, Casa Vicens shows where it all began, and it is far quieter.

How do you see Casa Vicens, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló in one go?

Join the 3 Gaudí Houses Tour: about 3 hours with one guide and all three admissions, from US$133, starting at Casa Vicens in Gràcia.

The 3 Gaudí Houses Tour runs in a small group of up to 12, in English, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. It covers the garden and main floor at Casa Vicens, the ground-floor patios, rooftop and tenant's apartment at La Pedrera, and the main vestibule and noble floor at Casa Batlló. Other areas are not part of it. Guests praise the guide Jane: "There is no way we could have seen this three houses so quickly and learned so much" (Stephanie, Oct 2026).

On your own, take metro L3 from Fontana (by Casa Vicens) one stop to Diagonal for La Pedrera, then walk about 10 minutes down Passeig de Gràcia to Casa Batlló.

How do you combine La Pedrera and the Sagrada Família?

They are two metro stops apart on L5 from Diagonal. A guided tour links them with one guide, both entries and a glass of cava.

The Sagrada Família Golden Hour and La Pedrera tour starts at La Pedrera with an entrance and guided visit, walks past Palau Macaya and Casa de les Punxes, then visits the Sagrada Família with its entrance and a guide. It takes about 4 hours, with at least 45 minutes on foot, in a small group of up to 15, from US$156. Dress for the basilica: no shorts, short skirts or sleeveless tops.

On your own, the Sagrada Família charges €26 for a basic ticket, €30 with a guided tour and €36 with a tower, on its own site. Book ahead: tickets are timed.

What about Park Güell and Casa Vicens?

Pair them on a Gràcia half-day. Park Güell costs €18 with a timed slot; Casa Vicens €22, a short metro ride away.

Park Güell's monumental zone needs a ticket for a time slot between 9:30 and 19:30, and you have 30 minutes after your time to enter. Children aged 7 to 12 and over-65s pay €13.50, and under-7s go free. Once you leave, you cannot go back in.

Casa Vicens, Gaudí's first house (1883 to 1885), is in Gràcia near Fontana metro. Barcelona City Council's listing gives €22 for the self-guided visit. From either, metro L3 brings you down to Diagonal for La Pedrera.

Is Palau Güell worth adding?

Yes, if you are near the Ramblas. It is the cheapest Gaudí interior at €15, built for his patron Eusebi Güell, and its rooftop has colourful chimneys too.

Palau Güell stands on Carrer Nou de la Rambla, just off the Ramblas, and is on the UNESCO list with La Pedrera and Park Güell since 1984. It closes on Mondays that are not public holidays. Metro L3 runs from Diagonal to Liceu, the nearest stop, in three stops.

A walking tour pairs the old town with the Gaudí houses from the street: the Old Town, Ramblas and Gaudí Houses walk moves from the Gothic Quarter to Passeig de Gràcia in 2 hours 30 minutes, from US$30. The walk stays outside, so add a La Pedrera ticket for the rooftop.
